12月30日 It's snowingWoke up early, looked out the window and all was white. Too late for a White Christmas, but still nice to see. I have to go to work this morning, cause of the holiday. No rest for the wicked, I suppose. The earthquake damage has the 'net so slow that posting is a pain. More later. 12月20日 ChristmasIt's nearly Christmas. I can hardly belive it. This fall has passed too quickly.
So far I haven't done much to prepare for Christmas at all. I've been too busy getting ready for finals and working on the new job.
Monday night was nice though. I've been helping some students after class. They're Uyghurs, who were studying Chinese while the Chinese students were studying English. So their Enlish is lacking. They're improving fast though. Monday they took me to a Uyghur restaurant to show thanks. IT was nice. Good food and the place has a dance floor. I got to dance with 3 Uyghur girls at once!!! Good thing I'd learned some of the dances.
So the week started right. Maybe a Christmas party on Sunday and then the last week of exams. Cool!
Lunch time i here, gotta go. 12月10日 Shuttle is up!!!Another launch of the Space shuttle! I was just watching NASA TV, showing the orbital path over the earth. Looks like it's going right over Beijing! If the air were clear we might see it go over. Oh, well. Neat to think NASA's still pushing out into space. Good luck to them. |
